I tried it once. I tried it again. I made some revisions thanks to Hannah and Arthur for the criticism along the way. Posted it on tumblr and somebody said they want all the prints, which I'm not sure what she's talking about, since there's one, but hey, I think I might do every Avenger in this style and make it a series. Maybe sell them. We'll see what happens.

Here, I did another Avenger sketch. My cat's name is Loki, so this was bound to happen.

Also, Arthur doesn't have a blogger and probably will never get one, but he wanted to join in on the fun, so here's his Avengers themed piece. I did all the typography to it, which I'm making it's own separate piece eventually.

Theme of The Week: The Avengers

At our last meeting before school ended, Sketchgroup decided
it would be a fun idea for CCAD students to post weekly theme-specific
doodles/art pieces over the summer for this blog.

If you'd like to be apart of it, you can email co-leader, Elizabeth to request an invite to join! (emichaels.1@go.ccad.edu)

Happy posting!

Quest For Improvement: Week 4

Quest For Improvement is slowly dying... Congratulations Hillary for keeping up with it!
Do any members have any ideas about how to make the content
in this blog relevant and useful to our group? To ourselves as developing artists?
Should quest for improvement be personal to our own blogs?

Quest For Improvement: Week 1

We are creating a character (or characters) to draw at the beginning of every session of Sketch Group. This exercise not only tracks our drawing progress, but it also teaches us to become aware of our techniques, strengths and weaknesses and brings us upon the path of improvement.

Adam Hughes once said: "The fact about getting better is...
that your 1,000th drawing will be better than your first."

To join the quest, email your drawing to ccadsketchgroup@gmail.com,
or join one of our sessions Thursday nights @10 in DSB 210!

If any of the these artists have a blogspot of their own, or some other website
that represents their artwork, email us the link so we can tag your names.

You guys are awesome!!

Welcome!

Advancing your artwork first needs one thing:
THE DESIRE TO IMPROVE

"Desires dictate our priorities, priorities shape our choices,
and choices determine our actions. The desires we act on
determine our changing, our achieving, and our becoming."
